Module 1:  Why Birth Matters

This module will introduce you to the importance of the birth experience and why it matters.  You will start to explore your story and complete a "birth breakdown" exercise. 

Module 2:  The Moment

This module will ask you to hone in on a specific moment in your birth story that is activating or triggering.  You will work with this moment and explore how it affects you still, even after the birth. 

Module 3:  The Rules 

This module will ask you to examine the unspoken rules and archetypal behaviors that we adopt in our lives and how your birth experience broke the "rules" of what you planned and expected. 

Module 4:  Your New Story

In module 4 you will begin to rewrite your story and apply a new lens that offers more compassion and tenderness. 

Bonus:  Rebirth Ritual 

In this bonus module, you will be guided through a sacred rebirth ritual. 

Bonus:  Story Held for Loss

This bonus module is for anyone who experienced a difficult or traumatic birth and then a subsequent loss of their baby; either through still birth or neonatal death.

About the course

About your facilitator, Nicole

The Crossing the Threshold course takes you on a journey that I went on after experiencing two traumatic births, 11 years apart. My first birth ended in an unwanted c-section and led to years of guilt and anger. My processing at that time consisted of planning my redemptive birth. Then in 2021 I achieved my VBAC but birthed alone, in a foreign country. Faced with an "even worse" birth left me confused and disconnected. I then discovered healing by combining practices from different disciplines and frameworks and have arrived at a much more peaceful and compassionate place when I think about and tell both of my stories. It is my hope that any woman who has feelings of disconnection, disappointment, or trauma from her birth experience find healing. It's never too late and your feelings are valid. Take the first brave step, sister. You deserve to feel better.
